I was asked the other day, "What tool can't you live without while you're stamping?"
I love the Color Coach. I grab this necessary tool EVERY time I create a project. I may be CASEing a project or creating my own, but I always have my Color Coach handy to check my Stampin' Up! color combinations. If I am stuck for a color combo I search through the color windows. I sometimes even play a game and spin the wheel really fast about 5 or 6 times and challenge myself to make a project with whatever I color I land on.
[above] I used the Color Coach to find the third color on the following project. I had not used this combo before and was presently surprised. Really Rust, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue.
[above] Here is the section of the Color Coach that I used. Notice that Blush Blossom is not in the wheel selection. From prior experience I know that Blush Blossom and Really Rust are shades of each other and work really well as a "Dynamic Duo."I then chose the third color from the choices of: Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Bordering Blue, and Night of Navy.
[above] This combo is kind of "loud," but it actually works, since I reduced each color used by about half of the previous color. Pink Passion, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise.

Sheri's tip: I find that using all 5 colors from the Color Coach selection on a project can be very tricky to get a beautiful outcome. Personally, I mix and match 2 and 3 colors at a time. Sometimes 4 colors, but only if it has green as a base color for a flower stem or grass and the 4 colors are the colors of various flowers. Does that make sense?
I'll be featuring some other tools that I can't live without over the next few months, highlighting my favorites and your requests. Please leave a comment below with questions and the tools you want me to showcase.
